SANITATION PROGRAMME

SPOT has the distinction to carry out a significant project assigned by UNICEF under Public Health Engineering (PHE) State of Assam in Dibrugarh District. Since Health and Environment are also the key areas to be addressed properly for the growth of tourism in a particular region, SPOT has taken up the aforesaid project under TOTAL SANITATION PROGRAMME in Dibrugarh District at village level under the Panchayats. This is an ongoing project to cover the villages under Jaipur Block of Dibrugarh District. In order to carry out the activities of the programme, SPOT has already set up one project workshop at Namrup site besides having its own project office there. To provide the Sanitary Toilet Blocks to the villagers, SPOT is conducting regular motivational trainings among the villagers highlighting the hygienic point and uses of the toilets.
