"We are a voluntary organization dedicated to development of tourism and social upliftment". It is needless to mention that inspite of having huge potentiality of Tourism Industry in whole of the North Eastern Region; stlll it remains backward due to lack of involvement of Entrepreneurs to trap the market. People at the helm of affairs also have failed to show a wholehearled positive attitude for the Deveropment of Tourism Industry in the region. Switerland has already set an example in the world being successful in the Tourism Industry enabling them to have a strong national eoonomic structure. HopefulIy some parts of our country have already developed Tourism to a satisfactory level employing thousands of people even in certain cases out of no resources of nature. On the contrary North Eastern region is having everything of nature-gifted beauty from Rivers. Hills. Springs, Lakes, Forest, Wild Life and what not. Let us not talk about the historical monuments, temples of hundred years old, diverse ethnic cultures etc.

With the noble idea to promote Tourism in the Region in general and aiming for creating employment potentiality to the possible extent for the mass unemployed youth a Forum in the name and style SOCIETY FOR PROMOTION OF TOURISM (SPOT) has been formed at Namrup of Dibrugarh District, Assam.
